Hi Redbud Families,
Teacher message: In today’s video, I read The Snowy Day, by Ezra Jack Keats. As usual, watch out for the many cameos of the children in my house and baby noises.
Suggested Activity: One of the many tools we teach in the Redbud classroom is naming our feelings. Being able to name their feelings is an important skill that allows little ones to process feelings and let people around them know how to support them. You can support your child in naming their feelings and offering a plan to help them process them (“I see you are feeling upset and need to move your body, let’s go for walk”). Children may also be ready to tell you what they need to feel better (“I see you are upset, what would help you feel better?”).
Take care of yourselves,
Tyler
